About Mary Buck
I have been a photographer for almost all my life, starting as a hobby when I was 18 years old. When I moved to Atlanta with my family in 1990 I started to think about having my own photography business. In 1995 I started Lightscapes Photographic Artwork and sold landscapes photos and notecards. A few years later my business evolved into a portrait photography business and I embraced the change with open arms. I did all I could to learn the business of portrait photography and in 2001 purchased a retail location in Duluth, GA for my retail location.
Ten years later I discovered that a lot of people were calling me and wanting to learn how to use a digital SLR camera. So I evolved again and opened up Studio 2.8 Lightscapes Photography Learning Center and started to teach beginner level t0 advanced level courses. The program grew and in 2013 I had approximately 500 students in my programs. Feeling overwhelmed, I opened an online photography school in the beginning of 2014.
In 2014 I also started an online gallery of my fine art. I have several galleries in my collection including my most recent one of images from Cuba.
